More specifically, he specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries. Currently, he along with his experienced staff offer unparalleled service from his offices in Philadelphia and Wayne, Pennsylvania.

Q: Can you tell us a bit about your academic career?

Dr. Cross: I was fortunate enough to have studied from some of the most prestigious universities in United States. My academic background was nurtured in Cornell University and Columbia University both of which are located in New York City. As far as practical experience goes, I had the privilege to practice at the offices of my professors who are giants in the field of plastic surgery.

Moreover, I also gained extensive experience from my trainings at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital as well as Lenox Hill Hospital. Once again, both of these hospitals are considered to be two of the most reputable medical centers for cosmetic surgery. Lastly, I’d like to mention that I am certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and my board scores had placed me among the top three percent of plastic surgeons nationwide.

Q: That’s extremely impressive! Have you received any awards or media coverage?

Dr. Cross: I have been interviewed and featured in Inside Magazine, CBS News, The Inquirer and Fox 29 for consultations and discussions about various surgical procedures. You can find my interviews where I discussed about breast implant reduction, wrinkle filling, and removing turkey necks among other procedures. With regards to awards, I have received the Patients Choice Award in 2011 as well as the Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award by Vitals in 2011 and 2012 consecutively.

Q: What can you tell us about your method?

Dr. Cross: In my practice, I treat each patient on an individualized basis by assessing the needs and possible treatment options specifically for each person. I do not subscribe to the view of "one-size-fits-all" when it comes to surgical procedures. Instead, I thoroughly consult with my patients and learn about their needs and expectations before the surgery. This also gives me a chance to suggest best options to them and plan the procedure accordingly.

Many times, we find patients coming into our office solely because they met a friend who had a certain cosmetic procedure performed. Thus, they feel that same procedure will also bring them similar results. In reality, that might not necessarily be the case. This is why consultation is crucial.

To give you an example, a person who feels they need a facelift may achieve the desired outcomes through the means of non-surgical procedures like Ultherapy or dermal filler injections. Not only are these less invasive, but they have virtually no downtime and cost much less.

Q: Speaking of procedures, what kind of procedures do you offer at your practice?

Dr. Cross: I do both surgical and non-surgical procedures at my office. Moreover, I incorporate traditional methods of performing surgeries as well as utilize all the latest advancements in medical techniques where appropriate.

A few of the many surgical procedures available at my offices are:

  • Facelift
  • Arm lift
  • Thigh lift
  • Breast augmentation
  • Tummy tuck
  • Rhinoplasty
  • Liposuction

To name a few non-surgical procedures:

  • Botox
  • Ultherapy
  • Kybella
  • Cellfina
  • Chemical peels
  • Laser resurfacing

Apart from these, there are many other procedures available to meet your exact needs.

Q: What exactly is Cellfina?

Dr. Cross: Cellfina is a revolutionary new treatment for cellulite. As you may know, cellulite is a condition which makes the skin on the buttocks, thighs, and belly to appear lumpy and spotty. It is especially common among women. Cellfina offers a short and simple process that can be performed in less than an hour. As for the results, they are impeccable and last on average for about two years.
